Summary

The School Nurse / Nurse Assistant is responsible for providing health services that support the physical, mental, emotional, and social health of students and staff, thereby promoting student learning and success. This position manages day-to-day health needs, maintains health records, administers medications, provides first aid and emergency care, and ensures compliance with state, federal, and district health service policies. The School Nurse / Nurse Assistant also leads the district’s Health and Wellness Committee and contributes to the Comprehensive School Improvement Plan (CSIP) by promoting student wellness, safety, and health education.
